Storytelling By Us For Us
Boozhoo (hello)! My name is Danielle Boyer. I am Anishinaabe (Enrolled Sault Tribe) born and raised in a service area of my reservation. I am a youth robotics inventor and advocate exploring how emerging technologies can be ethically used to safeguard Indigenous cultures and languages. In 2019, I founded The STEAM Connection, a youth-led nonprofit that has provided over one million young people worldwide with free, culturally grounded technical education through robotics.
I am best known for designing the SkoBots, wearable ethical AI-powered personal robots that teach Anishinaabemowin using community-authored data, locally run systems, and frameworks rooted in Indigenous data sovereignty. My work addresses global challenges of ethical AI, language extinction, and equitable access to emerging technologies. I have spoken at the White House, UNESCO Headquarters, and the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues. Recognized as a National Geographic Young Explorer, Echoing Green Fellow, and two-time MIT Solve Fellow, her life and work were featured in an MIT Solve documentary that won a Webby Award, Sundance Brand Storytelling Award, Tribeca X Award, and a SXSW feature.
I care a lot about authentic Indigenous storytelling in a world where we have so little accurate representation. This has led me to posting on social media and helping others with their pages as well so that our stories are told the right way. I've grown my Instagram to over 69k followers, my TikTok to over 42k followers, and my X and Threads to over 17k collectively. My content has gotten millions of views. My content focuses on Indigenous storytelling and my own personal life experiences as a young woman in STEM, building ethical technology, and uplifting Indigenous businesses. My pages focus is heavily on my personal brand and story. I usually gear my content towards two audiences: firstly (and most importantly) other Natives and community members, and secondly the greater globe so that people know we don't just exist in the past but also the present and future. Social media is a powerful way for our voices to be heard. I believe that every Indigenous organization and public figure should maintain consistent posting schedules and a minimum of 10k followers.
I shoot everything on a DJI Mimo 3 with the DJI Mic 3 and POV shots on Meta Glasses and edit everything in CapCut Pro and Premiere Pro. I have extensive experience in Adobe Suite. I adjust well to new trends and algorithmic changes.

Accounts I've Grown
I took Spenser Jaimes (@spenserjaimes) Instagram profile from under 3k followers and an average of 3k views per video to over 8k followers and hundreds of thousands of views within six weeks - despite an inconsistent posting schedule. I directed, shot, and edited all recent content, developing a content strategy focused on retention, sharability, and audience growth. I conducted a social media audit and adjusted his biography, profile picture, and story posting habits to help him expand his brand. This resulted in several viral videos, the launch of his Chumash syrups brand which netted $3,000+ in sales, and expanded his work opportunities. He is expected to reach 10k by the end of the month.
